The Assignment of Intellectual Property Rights is a straightforward assignment for £1 of the intellectual property rights in a design or list of designs which are already in existence at the date of the agreement. Representations of the design or designs being sold should be attached in the schedule at the end of the agreement.
NOTE: A glossary of legal terms is available on the ACID website or by emailing help@acid.uk.com. It is strongly recommended that before using any of the above reusable agreements you call the ACID legal hotline for advice. Whilst ACID provides this Assignment of Intellectual Property Rights for a nominal £1 to meet demand for this type of agreement, it is always best to consult an intellectual property law specialist so that you fully understand the consequences of assigning your IP rights for such a nominal sum. ACID members should also consider the ACID Licence/Royalty Agreement to ensure that there is a legal framework in place to fully exploit intellectual property rights with a third party.
